World Trade Center Savannah (WTCSav) announced recently that the Development Authority of Bryan County (DABC) has become a founding investor partner.

Regional partnerships such as the one with the DABC are an essential part of WTCSav’s mission to help the region create jobs and attract investment on an international level.  The DABC is among six development authorities to become a partner of WTCSav.

World Trade Center Savannah will work with the DABC to help their established businesses grow internationally and provide them access and opportunities for identifying new foreign direct investment projects.

“The Development Authority of Bryan County is proud to join World Trade Center Savannah,” said Anna Chafin, CEO of the DABC.

“We look forward to leveraging World Trade Center Savannah to help our existing industries in Bryan County to develop and expand opportunities globally, as well as utilizing the organization to generate leads from companies headquartered abroad interested in locating operations in our region.”

President and CEO of World Trade Center Savannah Trip Tollison said the partnership is a significant milestone in working towards regionalism.

“The partnership between World Trade Center Savannah and the Development Authority of Bryan County is the perfect example of the region working together towards the ultimate goal of creating jobs and attracting investment.

“We look forward to working together with the Development Authority of Bryan County to help them facilitate this goal on the international level.”

The DABC recently participated in the Savannah Region International Economic Development Tour, an event hosted by WTCSav and Georgia Power.  The DABC had the opportunity to host Mona Diamond Sunshine, Turkish honorary consul general to the state of Georgia, in Bryan County.

The event brought regional development authorities together with consuls general representing several countries and served as an opportunity to show off the assets of the region to key players in the international market so they may think of the area when international trade leads arise.

World Trade Center Savannah offers the region a professional, proactive international strategy to develop and optimize international networks and opportunities for measurable business results that drive economic growth in the region.

World Trade Center Savannah has identified three objectives:

  • Help regional businesses expand internationally
  • Identify more foreign direct investment opportunities for the region
  • Generate revenue to support these activities

Governed by a regional board, WTCSav offers valuable information and services for companies already doing business internationally or for those who wish to reach international markets.

World Trade Center Savannah offers a strategic approach through services including, inbound and outbound trade missions, trade services, global education programs, personalized international training, access to country specific data, in-depth research, and the foreign trade zone program.
