Congressman Earl L. “Buddy” Carter Visits Savannah Global Solutions in Bryan County

August 26, 2020 – Pembroke, GA – Congressman Earl L. “Buddy” Carter (R-Ga) recently visited Mark and Trudy Sauer at their Pembroke-based company, Savannah Global Solutions, to tour the facility and see the quality products and jobs the company provides. Despite the challenges many businesses are facing during these ever-changing times, Savannah Global Solutions has not only been able to keep their workers employed but has also hired additional employees as demand for the company’s products has increased these past few months. Part of Savannah Global’s recent success is due to the funds that the company received through the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), which is a program designed to provide financial assistance to small businesses to keep their staff on the payroll during the economic challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
After seeing what Savannah Global Solutions is making happen in Bryan County and across the globe, Congressman Carter said, “Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, and companies like Savannah Global Solutions show the impact they can have. Unfortunately, many of our small businesses have been negatively impacted due to no fault of their own during the COVID-19 pandemic. The PPP was designed to help people like Mark and Trudy keep their businesses open and their workers employed. It was great to have a chance to meet them, learn about the important work they do, and see how the PPP is directly helping small businesses in the First District.”
