Tyler Distribution Centers Leases Building at Belfast Commerce Park

Mar 8, 2023
Bryan County, Georgia

Today, the Development Authority of Bryan County (DABC) proudly announced its newest industry partner.  Tyler Distribution Centers, a division of Port Jersey Logistics, will lease AltaBird Investment’s nearly completed 281,067-square-foot Class-A industrial space located across from Caesarstone and near the new Hyundai Mobis site.

“We are excited to welcome Tyler Distribution Centers to our roster of existing industries,” said DABC Chairman Jon Seagraves.  “The fact that Tyler Distribution Centers leased AltaBird’s building before it was even complete just goes to show you how strong a place Bryan County is to do business.

This site is located within Belfast Commerce Park.  The Park is entitled for 10.5 million square feet and offers excellent transportation options to service the Port of Savannah, the nation’s third-largest container portand the second-largest on the east coast.

“We’re excited to expand our operations into the Savannah area,” Port Jersey Logistics’ President Jeff Ramella said. “After a survey of the area, it was clear that Bryan County was the optimal place for us to be for many reasons.  Many of our customers have seen a significant increase of business in the Southeastern US over the past 3 years and we’re now in a position to support them even more.”

Bryan County has a strong history of a pro-business attitude, making it the single fastest-growing county in the state and the 6th fastest-growing county in the US from 2010 to 2020.  Bryan County’s close proximity to two military installations, Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield, creates a viable, strong military-trained workforce with nearly 4,000 new veterans leaving active duty annually and transitioning into the civilian workforce.

“The value added by Tyler Distribution Centers goes beyond the initial investment and job creation,” said Georgia Department of Economic Development Deputy Commissioner Kristi Brigman.  “Food processing is an important industry in Georgia, with many products passing through the ports on their way to markets around the world.  Solution providers like Tyler Distribution Centers keep products moving efficiently and are key to an effective logistics ecosystem.  It also demonstrates how Bryan County’s investment in speed-to-market solutions like GRAD-certified sites continues to pay off and create opportunities for the community.”

The $29,700,000 investment will create 60 new jobs in the food and beverage logistics industry.  Tyler Distribution Centers will begin hiring in April for various positions in Richmond Hill.  To apply, please visit www.portjersey.com.
